Double delight: Now, pilgrims can enjoy skiing in scenic Auli during Char Dham Yatra in winters

#Chamoli #Uttarakhand Here is a good news for ski enthusiasts who want to visit scenic valleys of Auli town in Chamoli district for skiing. The Garhwal Mandal Vikas Nigam Limited (GMVNL) has asked a private company to complete the maintenance work of Asia's longest - 4 km - ropeway between Joshimath and Auli. The ropeway is currently non-functional. According to a report published in Amar Ujala, this would be a chance for Char Dham Yatra pilgrims to enjoy the panoramic view even during heavy snowfall. Auli, which lies on the way to Badrinath, is surrounded by coniferous and oak forests, with a panoramic view of the lofty peaks of Himalayas. The GMVNL has asked the company to complete the repair work before November 20. The state government has also sanctioned Rs 4 crore in this regard.
