Consumer court slaps fine of Rs 28,720 on ICICI Bank for seizing a man’s bike without notice


#Dehradun #Uttarakhand Trouble emerged for ICICI after the bank seized a man's bike and auctioned it without any prior notice to him. The Dehradun District Consumer Disputes Redressal Forum imposed a fine of Rs 28,702 on the bank for seizing the bike of Satish Kumar Agarwal, who had been paying his monthly installments on time. "The action of the bank in taking away the bike was not just and therefore, it should pay total punitive damages of Rs 28,720 to the complainant," an order passed by forum stated. The forum's decision came on December 23 while disposing a complaint filed by Satish, according to a report published in Times of India.
