Eyeing 2017 assembly polls, Congress’ state chief to hold a meet on Nov 2


#Uttarakhand With an aim to retain power in the state, Uttarakhand Congress Committee chief Kishore Upadhyay has decided to hold a party meet on Nov 2. According to a report, the state Congress chief has shifted his focus towards strengthening the party's support base in all 70 assembly constituencies. "The state Congress Committee has decided to hold a meeting of its 300 office-bearers and members from different panchayat bodies, including the village heads on November 2 at Dehradun," Upadhyay told media in Dehradun. "This will be the first meeting of its kind as it will help us to closely interact with all the office-bearers and members of democratically-elected bodies at the grass root level," Upadhyay added.
