Satpal Maharaj left Congress for personal gains, says Harish Rawat

#Dehradun #Uttarakhand Uttarakhand Chief Minister Harish Rawat has reacted strongly on Satpal Maharaj's resignation from party to join BJP on Friday and his allegations against Uttarakhand government, saying the former Congress MP quit the party for personal gains and not because of state politics, as was suggested by him. Calling the extreme step taken by Satpal Maharaj uncalled for, Harish Rawat said,"His resignations has nothing to do with state politics. Congress has requested him not to leave the party and was ready to accept his demand. I think Satpal Maharaj has left the party for personal reasons." He quit the Congress on Friday and joined BJP.
