Gurmeet Rathore is an Indian singer from Dehradun, Uttarakhand. Who was born on 24 November 1996 in the house of father Shri Rohtash Singh Rathore and mother Shrimati Bindra Devi in Biharigarh located in Saharanpur district of Uttar Pradesh.
Family
Father has his own business while mother is a housewife. Gurmeet’s elder brother is Ravindra Singh Rathore and elder sister Simranjit Kaur (Ritu) is there in the family. Gurmeet’s family is a middle class family.
Education
Gurmeet did his schooling from “Dellmond International School” located in Chhutmalpur, Dehradun and also obtained a Diploma in Electrical from Government ITI. He has done a certification course in music from “Bhatkhande Sangeet Institute” due to his interest in music since childhood.
Even during his studies, he used to participate in cultural activities and has been appreciated by the people.
Turning Point
Having a very beautiful and melodious voice, Gurmeet has been auditioning in various music shows like “Indian Idol“, “Saregama“, and others since his school days.
Many a times he got selected from Dehradun and he also impressed the jury members on the basis of his voice, but later on he could not make it happen to win the title.
On this Gurmeet decided to leave no stone unturned in Riyas and to learn the basics and get a deep dive into the field of music continuously.
Then he learned music from “Bhatkhande Music Institute” and like Eklavya, accepted Jubin Nautiyal as his guru because he had been a big fan of “Jubin Nautiyal” from the beginning and started doing riyas every day by keeping Jubin’s photo in front.
His hard work paid off when a congratulatory letter was sent to him by the then Chief Minister of Uttarakhand, Shri Harish Rawat, for the song “Dil Ka Chain” sung by him.
After this Gurmeet understood and learned the nuances of music from Jubin Nautiyal.
Sometimes back his romantic song “Banjara” was released from YouTube channel “Dream Come True Records” which was well received by the audience.
Profession
Presently Gurmeet is a full time singer and is working on many projects which you will get to see in the near future. His dream is that one day he will perform on stage with his mentor and idol Jubin Nautiyal.
Gurmeet has his own YouTube channel named “Gurmeet Rathore” but he is more active on Instagram than YouTube where he has around 30 thousand followers.
