Ashmit Kanwer a very talented Punjabi video director was born on 29th Oct 1999 in Shimla Himanchal Pradesh, while he hails from a very small but beautiful village named Thog in Himanchal Pradesh.
He comes from a middle class Himanchali Rajput family of mother Mrs. Reema Kanwer and father Mr. Jeet Singh Kanwer with his only sister Miss Aashima Kanwer.
He was very curious and keen to work in film industry since his childhood, and due to his continues efforts and desire to show his talent he got a golden chance to worked in a Bollywood film named “Joker” as a child artist, Akshay Kumar, Sonakshi Sinha, Farah Khan, Shreyas Talpade, Asrani etc were the other artists. And that was the golden ticket of his life to get into the entertainment industry.
Then he started working into Punjabi music video albums and meanwhile he was dreaming to be a video director into the Punjabi music industry. That dream turned into reality when a very first time he started the direction in 2018, with the brand name of his own company Downtown Media, under which he has launched various projects with T-Series, Sony, Zee Music, White Hill Music, Speed Records, Jass Records, among others.
After the launched of his very first music direction in 2018 he got a chance to work with some of big singers in Punjabi Music Industry i.e., Guru Randhawa, Neha Kakkar, Badshah, Parmish Verma, Sehnaaz Gill, Mahira Sharma, Himanshi Khurana, Gippy Grewal, Hardy Sandhu, Jassie Gill, and many more.
He did his schooling from his village till 5th and then shifted to Kendrya Vidhyalaya Sector 31 Chandigarh.
Currently he is pursuing his BCA along with his work of music direction in Punjabi Music Industry
He owns a digital marketing company, Town Digitals that provides a host of services, including digital marketing, services for Instagram and YouTube, audio distribution, artist management, and so much more, as well as a production house with the name of Downtown media.
