Suryapal Shriwan is an Indian artist, folk singer, and song writer from Tehri Garhwal, who born on 1st December 1992. He had a great fan following for his sweet voice. His song “Pink Plazo” is one of the most popular DJ song in Uttarakhand music industry. But his life was not so easy as it looks today. Lets explore his journey of music with us.

Early Life

Just imagine? losing your mother at the age of 6 months, hardly any creature can have worse luck than this. But when God snatches something from you, then he definitely compensates for it in any other way. Only patience and hard work is needed. When Suryapal Shriwan was born, he lost her mom within 6 months of his birth.
His father tried his best to somehow manage himself and this infant, but being a teacher by profession, he had to continue his job as well, and he was the only earning member of the family. On everyone’s persuasion, his father agreed for the second marriage. Fortunately his stepmother was so good that she brought him up like her own child.

That’s why Suryapal Shriwan says that whatever I am today the credit goes to my parents and my wife too who always supports me in each ups and down.

Birth (age) and family of Suryapal Shriwan

Suryapal Shriwan was born on 1st December 1992 in Hadiana Malla, a small village of Bhilangana block under Tehri district, which falls in Ghansali tehsil.
His father is a teacher by profession while mother late Mrs. Ahilya Devi left Suryapal at the age of 6 months and went to heaven.

Father had remarried to run the family and take care of the child. From whom he has 2 sisters and a younger brother.
At present, he lives in Dehradun with his wife Mrs. Reshma Shriwan and daughter Asvi Shriwan. His wife is also from the field of music and she has done extensive work in music. The story of meeting both of them was also very interesting.

When Suryapal Shriwan saw her for the first time at a function, he fell in love with Reshma at first glance, but being an introvert he could not let her know about his feelings, after some time with a lot of courage, he shared his feelings with Reshma. She took time to accept his proposal,while she was also liking him from the very first meeting due to his honest and sweet nature. Soon both of them got married to each other and today both are leading a happy married life.

Suryapal Shriwan has been a brilliant student since childhood, his primary education was from the village’s higher secondary school, Dhamatoli, then after passing 12th from Government Inter College Samandidhar, he did diploma in pharmacy from Siddharth Institute of Pharmacy, Dehradun and then graduated from Sridev Suman University.

After completing college, he started working as a pharmacist in Siddharth Institute of Pharmacy.

Suryapal, who was fond of singing since childhood, used to sing songs from the pavilions of Ramlila and he was highly appreciated by the local audience. This was the only reason why Suryapal Shrivan wanted to become a singer when he grew up, his wish was fulfilled in 2012, after a successful release of “Gailya Bichhuma“. As he is one of the luckiest singers who gets recognition in his debut song. Audience appreciated his song and he got a great fan following after the song. He has a very soft and velvet voice, sometimes audiences get confused between Suryapal Shriwan and Jagar Samrat Padamshree Pritam Bharatwan. As they both have a very nice and similar tone.

When his debut album “Gailya Bichhuma” was released, there was no wedding or party in Garhwal region where this song was not played by DJ. He became a popular new voice of the Uttarakhand music industry after his very first song. Then after that his song “Purba” made many records in the Uttarakhand music world, it was the first song which got million views on YouTube in a very short period of time.
