Protests erupt in Khatima over murder of trader's son

#Udham Singh Nagar #Uttarakhand A garment trader's teenaged son was allegedly killed by unidentified assailants who slit his throat at his home sparking protest by local traders in Udham Singh Nagar district on Thursday. The assailants knocked at the door of garment trader Manoj Aggarwal's house at about 8 pm on Thursday night, a time when the entire family was sitting on the first floor, Khatima Circle Officer JR Joshi said. Aggarwal's 15-year-old son Shubham Aggarwal, who studied at a school in Nainital and was on a vacation, ran downstairs to open the door, he said. The moment he opened the door, the assailants attacked him with a sharp-edged weapon and slit his throat, Joshi said, adding that by the time his parents came down to find out what was amiss, Shubham was dead.
